BLENDED OUTDOOR FIRST AID WITH QA LEVEL 3 AWARD IN PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person with a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available when children are present. Providers should also consider the number of children, staff and layout of the premises and increase their paediatric first aid provision accordingly to ensure that a paediatric first aider is available to respond to emergencies quickly. Ideal for anyone delivering outdoor learning or forest school activities in an educational context.
This course will be delivered primarily outdoors in a forest environment; please ensure you have dressed appropriately for both days.
About the trainer
This course is delivered by our lead trainer who is a qualified Mountain Leader, former Outdoor Instructor and Centre Manager. The trainer used to manage the Activity programme of the International Scout Centre in the Alps (Kandersteg) and was the Centre Manager of Gilwell Park. He is a part-time Ski Patroller and qualified Youth Worker. Delegates will see all of this experience delivered throughout this course
